The beauty of Northern Wisconsin is certainly breathtaking. The magnificent pines, the crystal clear lakes and the starry, black nights make for great vacations and long-lasting memories. Unfortunately, not everyone has the luxury of time or the desire to make this six or more hour drive to reach this destination. Did you know that Wisconsin also has dozens of just as clear lakes, mighty pines and fantastic fishing within 100 miles of Milwaukee? Within a two hour drive from Chicago, are homes, cottages and destinations just waiting to be explored, pike waiting to be caught, campfire stories waiting to be told.

Currently, we have a two bedroom, two bath cottage available on Pike Lake, in Hartford, WI. This totally remodeled 1920’s structure features radiant heat, gas fireplace and sleeps six to eight adults comfortably. The bunkhouse features two sets of bunkbeds, room for four comfortably. In addition to a Queen size bed in the master bedroom, there is a loft with two additional twin beds and a full size pull-out sleeper.

Pike Lake is a 500 acre body of fresh water, with a swimming beach and great hiking trails available in Pike Lake State Park. Located in the beautiful countryside known as the Kettle Moraine, Pike Lake is minutes from the highest point in the county, Holy Hill Cathedral.

This cottage comes totally equipped, from linens to dishes. Summertime rentals are available from June 15th through August 15th at a rate of $1000/wk. Weekend rentals are available after Labor Day, perfect for impressive autumn leaf watching or cross country skiing in Pike Lake State Park. Weekend rates are $350, Friday – Sunday.
